Hybrid Race™ Training Sandbags for HYROX-style Sandbag Lunge Training

Train race-style sandbag lunges, carries, and conditioning circuits with a clean, pre-filled, no-leak sandbag system built around modular SandBell inserts. Built tough for clubs with heavy duty nylon and YKK zipper. Available in 10 kg 20 kg & 30 kg loads for hybrid fitness racing prep, coaches, studios, garage gym and commercial facilities.

  • Exact KG race-specific loads: Compatible for HYROX sandbag lunge standards and race-day preparation.
  • Cleaner indoor training: Sand stays contained inside SandBell® filler weights instead of loose inside the shell.
  • Modular performance system: Remove SandBell® inserts for progressive strength training or fitness, functional strength work, and conditioning.
  • Commercial durable: Rugged shell, YKK zipper and reinforced construction built for home gyms, studios, and club use.
  • More than lunges: Train carries, shouldering, front-loaded squats, cleans, rotational work, and circuits.
  • Club-ready programming: Ideal for race prep classes, small group training, and functional circuits.
  • Fast setup, simple storage: Ships with dust free sand included for facilities and home gyms.
  • Available systems: 10kg, 20kg and 30kg with multiple SandBell filler bags
  • Construction: Rugged 1000D nylon shell with reinforced stitching YKK zipper and seatbelt webbing handle construction
  • Fill system: Neoprene SandBell® filler weights pre-filled with dust-free USA sand
  • Use environment: Home gym, commercial gym, studio, indoor turf, and water resistant for outdoor training
  • Grip and handling: Designed for shoulder carries, front holds, loaded lunges, and versatile strength work
  • Care note: Avoid abrasive surfaces and sharp objects

Train the standard, not just the movement. Training for the race sandbag lunge is about more than leg strength. You need the right shoulder position, balance, rhythm, breathing, and turn control under fatigue.

  • Carry position: Keep the sandbag across both shoulders.
  • Lunge standard: Alternate lunges with the trailing knee touching the floor.
  • Finish each rep: Stand tall with hips and knees extended.
  • Build the pattern: Start with 3 sets of 10 alternating lunges per side.
  • Add race rhythm: Progress to 4 sets of 20–30 meters with controlled steps and stable bag position.
  • Add fatigue: Use run-to-lunge intervals like 400 m run + 20 m lunges, progressing toward 1 km + 100 m lunges.

Need heavier adjustable progression? See the Hyperwear Sandbag System for broader loading options.
